Chief Research, Innovation and Learning Officer at CISSS Montérégie-Ouest, has lead the Pole of Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Projets in Health at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) from September 2018-2023, Kathy Malas is a leader who drives organizational transformation through innovation and knowledge as a source of value and tangible benefits for patients, teams and organizations. She encourages open innovation with partners from all sectors of socierty to better meet health care needs. With a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montreal and a Graduate Certificate in Health Management from McGill University, Kathy implements a organizational strategy for responsible innovation and AI and facilitates knowledge sharing and skill development in these areas. She is a researcher at the CRCHUM involved in research projects in health innovation management, is an associate professor at HEC Montréal and board member of the Health Innovation District and the Quebec Council of Innovation. She deploys concrete mechanisms to foster a culture, an organization and an open ecosystem of innovation to create value: improving health and wellness for all!
