Good morning, everyone. My name is David Leingang, and I serve as the Director of Innovation Data Science at Ochsner Health. My team’s mission is to improve patient care and clinical operations through the strategic use of both traditional machine learning and generative AI. We work across the health system to translate data into actionable insights that directly support clinicians and operational leaders in delivering better outcomes for our patients.
Before leading Ochsner’s innovation efforts, I served as the Director of Analytics for Population Health and Value-Based Care, where I oversaw the data science and insight generation driving the performance of our upside and downside risk contracts. Together, these experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how advanced analytics—and now AI—can transform how we deliver, measure, and sustain value in healthcare.
