Rob Purinton, based in Orlando, Florida, is a tech-enthusiast who stands at the confluence of healthcare technology, performance improvement, and strategic management with a career spanning nearly two decades at AdventHealth. A lifelong learner, Rob began his career in video game development after earning his B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. He also holds an MBA from UF, a second B.S. in Health Administration from UCF, and a post-graduate certificate from Harvard in Strategic Management. Rob is currently enrolled in MIT’s Chief Technology Officer program. Currently, as AdventHealth’s Vice President of Clinical Analytics and Performance Improvement, Rob spearheads the development of advanced clinical analytics, data literacy, and Lean Transformation. He leads the health system’s Clinical A.I. Advisory Board, engaging experts in healthcare and other industries to responsibly accelerate adoption of A.I.-based technologies. Prior roles at the system’s flagship medical center in Orlando saw him collaborate with world-renowned physicians on patient safety initiatives to eliminate harm, reduce mortalities, and advance end-of-life care. Under Rob’s leadership, AdventHealth Orlando was the largest hospital in the U.S. awarded ISO 9001 Quality Management certification, and the largest to receive a 5-Star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, both while maintaining “A” safety ratings from Leapfrog.
