Dr Jillian Harrington

Dr. Jillian Harrington is the Program Director of the BS Health Informatics program at the University of Central Florida School of Global Health and Informatics. She also teaches in the health services administration and health information management programs. She was also previously a Clinical Technical Editor for Optum, writing and editing their many coding and compliance publications, and is a former chief compliance officer and chief privacy official of a large academic medical center as well as a compliance consultant.
Dr. Harrington holds a bachelor's degree in health care administration from SUNY Empire State College, a master's degree in health systems administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in Leadership from Creighton University. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), a member of the Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS), and an associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
