Dr Clements is a pediatric endocrinologist and professor of pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Dr. Clements also serves as Chief Medical Officer of Glooko. Dr. Clements earned his B.S. in Biology/Chemistry (1993) at Butler University. Following, Dr. Clements earned his Medical Degree (2003) and PhD in Developmental Neuroscience (2003) at Washington University in St. Louis. He previously held leadership positions in the Type 1 Diabetes Exchange Clinic Registry and the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative; he is currently a TrialNet Clinical Center Director. He leads the Rising T1DE Alliance initiative, a grant-funded initiative to positively transform T1D care through the use of data science, predictive analytics, custom population health management software (D-Data Dock), and an innovative Diabetes Rapid Learning Lab concept that leverages remote patient monitoring and a curated library of digital-first behavioral and care delivery interventions. He has received >$25M grant-funded research support and has published >125 manuscripts.
