Dr. Victor Herrera, Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, has a career distinguished by a forward-thinking approach to integrating technology and clinical care. With specialized training in clinical immunology and internal medicine from Jackson Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in infectious diseases and geographic medicine at Stanford University, Dr. Herrera has continually leveraged his expertise to drive meaningful change within AdventHealth over the past 12 years.

In his current role, Dr. Herrera leads the full spectrum of clinical care in the Central Florida region, overseeing areas such as research, genomics, graduate medical education, and the Quality and Safety departments. In his role, he serves as the medical lead of the AdventHealth Transformational Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Board. This board has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s adoption of AI and machine learning to optimize clinical decisions and transform care delivery.

Dr. Herrera’s commitment to AI innovation is rooted in a vision of healthcare where technology enhances precision, safety, and patient experience. His AI-focused initiatives are accelerating AdventHealth’s ability to harness data-driven insights and improve outcomes across the continuum of care.
