Steven Ramirez is the Chief Information Security & Technology Officer (CISTO) for Renown Health, a health system based in Reno, NV. In his role, Steven oversees the both the organization's information security and technology programs, ensuring security by design and operational excellence.
Before joining Renown Health, Steven held IT leadership positions at UofL Health and IBM.
Steven holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management. He is also a Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM).
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Steven is an active member of the healthcare IT community. He serves on the board of the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) and chairs the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (H-ISAC) Information Protection Workgroup, where he contributes to advancing information security practices across the industry.
