Becky Bean currently serves as the senior vice president and chief pharmacy executive at Novant Health. In this role she is responsible for the development and implementation of Novant Health’s strategy for system-wide pharmacy services consistent with our mission, values and goals. Becky’s leadership purpose is to inspire optimism, create opportunities, and empower teams to achieve personal and professional success. She is passionate about creating a culture across pharmacy where teams feel valued, engaged, and purpose-driven.
Becky received her BS in Pharmacy and PharmD from The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and her MHA MBA degree from Pfeiffer University. Becky joined Novant Health in 2007 as a clinical pharmacist and transitioned to a leadership role in 2013 supporting the organizations transformation towards population health. She moved into a role as senior director of medication management in 2017. Most recently, Becky moved into her current role leading enterprise services for all of pharmacy in July 2020. In her tenure, Becky has led a number of system initiatives including implementation of collaborative practice for pharmacists across Novant Health Medical Group, complex medication management across the continuum, and most recently pandemic response including system-wide vaccination efforts.”
In Becky’s free time she enjoys lacing up her running shoes for an early morning jog with Josey her black labrador retriever otherwise known as the best running partner ever! She and her husband Chip enjoy traveling, finding new foodie worthy restaurants, and live music.
