As a Data Science Advisor at OhioHealth, Dr. Gregg M. Gascon is responsible for contributing to the development and coordination of advanced analytics to facilitate the implementation, adoption and use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and statistical prediction models across OhioHealth. In that and related contexts, Dr. Gascon develops hypotheses, implements studies, analyzes results, and uses his knowledge of health system operations, managed care, and clinical care to implement, evaluate, and improve these and related interventions and programs. Dr. Gascon has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in such journals as the American Journal of Disaster Medicine, the Journal of Clinical Outcomes Management, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and Preventing Chronic Disease, and has given over 35 presentations at local, state, regional and national professional conferences.

Dr. Gascon has lectured on statistics, research design and methods and program evaluation at The Ohio State University since 2007. He currently holds a courtesy faculty appointment in the Department of Biomedical Informatics in the Ohio State University College of Medicine and serves on the Academic Advisory Group of the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. Dr. Gascon was selected to serve on the Scientific Organizing Committee of the 2018 International Conference on Health Policy Statistics, the primary conference of the Health Policy Statistics Section of the American Statistical Association (ASA) and was appointed in 2021 to the ASA Scientific and Public Affairs Advisory Committee for the 2022-24 term. He and his wife Tracey have been married more than 30 years and have 3 adult children.
