Sumedha is a pediatrician and founder, who has transitioned to investor and health innovation strategist with 15 years experience in health systems, venture, and startups. Sumedha has significant experience in the pediatric health tech and women’s health space, serving as an advisor to CTIP in the Pediatric Device Consortium and a number of women’s health accelerators, including the Springboard Women’s Health Cohort. To further support founders, she is a mentor for Techstars DC and LA (Healthcare).

Sumedha has an MD from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA with Healthcare Leadership from University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business. She is a member and investor at Citrine Angels and Health Innovation Pitch, serving on the Due Diligence and Deal Flow Committees. Sumedha is also committed to serving her community through a number of nonprofit organizations. She is a Board Member of Volunteer Fairfax (2023) and sits on the March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Heroines of Washington Executive Leadership Team (2022). From 2007-2022, she served on the Community Board of Life with Cancer to ensure that cancer patients and their families had access to resources, counseling, and ancillary services. She has been honored as a March of Dimes Heroines of Washington Finalist (2019) and Power Women of DC Tech from DCA Live (2023).
