Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly permeating healthcare as more health AI solutions enter the market, offering considerable benefits to patients, clinicians, and healthcare decision-makers. The responsible development of high value and solutions, however, can be challenging as they often require considerable clinical expertise, high quality 'real world' and timely data, and a fulsome clinical and technical development, testing, and deployment environment. This presentation will highlight the experience of an academic teaching hospital in developing and deploying over 50 health AI solutions into clinical practice to yield tangible benefits in patient outcomes such as mortality, operational efficiency, and cost. The presentation will provide case examples of deployed health AI solutions, their impacts on outcomes, and opportunities and challenges of developing and deploying health AI solutions.
