Generative AI has both significant untapped potential and unique risks for healthcare. The presentation will cover the implementation challenges, technology solutions, and lessons learned from the broad deployment of large language models to the workforce of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Included will be aspects of sponsorship, ethical considerations, governance, technical implementation and configurations, program launch, socialization, and ongoing support that went into making generative AI available to the entire workforce in a compliant, auditable, and secure manner.
