Orest B. Boyko MD PhD is Professor of Clinical Sciences at Roseman University College of Medicine and is developing AI curriculum for medical students and a fourth year medical student course elective. A long standing advocate of AI education in healthcare and filling in the AI educational gap, he has been involved in the training of over 1000 healthcare providers through three AI educational initiatives he cofounded.
A long standing external participant in T-CAIREM Dr. Boyko joined their International AI In Medical Education Working Group and shared his AI Glossary of Terms curated over 11 years that served as the basis for the Living Glossary.
Dr. Boyko is active in two AI Research Groups within the VA Healthcare System building AI Algorithms to advance the care of our US Veterans. He also is a member of the VA National Radiology Program (NRP) AI Workgroup and the VISN21 AI Workgroup serving as the AI Ethics officer for the VISN21 AI Workgroup.
