Esther Tolentino is a healthcare leader with 15+ years of combined experience in HIS (health information services) and HCIT (healthcare information technology), privacy and security to align with HIPAA, CMIA, 42 CFR Part 2, and the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act.

A nationally recognized speaker, Esther has authored training programs and CEU-eligible publications on emergency awareness and preparedness, privacy/security, revenue cycle management, and animal-assisted therapies. She is known for blending deep technical expertise with a compassionate vision: ensuring that technology enhances dignity, access, and empowerment for patients, allied professionals, and providers alike.

When Esther isn't driving change in healthcare systems, Esther volunteers her time with: CHIA (California Health Information Association); Creating Wellness (a canine program in affiliation with various care facilities in Marin and Sonoma Counties); and Roseville Point Health & Wellness Center, a SNF and rehabilitation facility that merges wellness with animal-assisted therapies. Her work reflects her core belief: when women thrive, families thrive, and communities thrive.
