Dana Nicholson Bledsoe, DHA, MBA, MS, RN, FACHE, is a nationally recognized healthcare executive and consultant. She is known for visionary leadership and for turning organizational transformation into operational excellence with measurable outcomes.
Over her career, she has served in multiple C-suite positions: Chief Executive Officer, Hospital President, Ambulatory Services Executive, and Chief Nursing Officer. She has worked across children's hospitals, academic medical centers, and multi-state health systems. That range gives her an unusually complete view of how healthcare organizations actually work. She has seen strategy from the boardroom, operations from the clinic and the bedside, and performance through the eyes of both physicians and frontline teams.
This experience shapes her work as a national consultant and advisor to CEOs and senior leaders. Dana helps organizations connect vision to execution, align clinical and operational leaders, and deliver measurable results in quality, safety, workforce, and financial performance.
Today her focus on AI in healthcare, is particularly interested in governance, trust, operational transformation and understanding financial impact. She helps leaders move AI from strategy to measurable value. She recently completed three Harvard Medical School's AI in Health Care executive certification programs in Digital and AI transformation and delivered a keynote at AIMed25. Her doctoral research used PEDSnet big data to build a predictive model of pediatric inpatient days.
Dana was named a 2025 CityBusiness Health Care Hero and served on the Ignite Health Steering Committee supporting women entrepreneurs. She holds a DHA from the Medical University of South Carolina, where she was First Honor Graduate, and an MBA and MS from the University of Colorado.
