Omar M. Asiri, MBBS, MSc, is a radiologist-biomedical engineer working on responsible AI in breast cancer screening. As Radiology Sales Specialist at Volpara Health, a Lunit company, he helped health systems deploy, validate, and operationalize AI for mammography—translating peer-reviewed evidence into workflow design, governance, and post-market monitoring. After earning his medical degree and advancing through diagnostic radiology residency in Saudi Arabia, he completed a master’s in Biomedical Engineering at USC, where he collaborated on SimpleMind, an open-source cognitive AI project associated with the UCLA Computer Vision Lab. He brings a Saudi–U.S. perspective to ethics, policy, and global impact, with a focus on aligning performance claims with patient-level benefit and limits of applicability.
