Is a nurse passionate about using technology to augment humanity.
She is the dedicated stroke nurse navigator at Norton Neuroscience Institute, where she specializes in guiding stroke survivors and their families through recovery with expert clinical support, patient education, and care coordination. As a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), Rosa is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative communication strategies and advocacy.
A skilled communicator, Rosa hosts the Stronger After Stroke podcast, amplifying expert insights on stroke recovery for Norton Healthcare, Aging Like A Pro for the Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and Nurse Rosa’s INsights, where she explores the intersection of healthcare, technology, and nursing leadership. She is also a sought-after speaker, presenting nationally on topics such as brain health, patient education, and the power of nurses’ voices in media.
Beyond bedside care, Rosa is a recognized leader and author in nursing advocacy and health communication. She serves as Chair of the Ethics & Human Rights Committee for the Kentucky Nurses Association, she’s a Midwest Advocacy & Communications Subcommittee Member for the American Heart Association, and an Advisory Board Member of NextGen Nursing for the American Nurses Association. Her leadership extends to policy initiatives, where she actively educates nurses on their role in legislative advocacy.
Her passion for community impact is further reflected in her nonprofit work with The Lou Review podcast, which highlights local businesses and nonprofits. Through every endeavor, Rosa’s mission remains clear – using technology to scale empowering others with knowledge, advocacy, and meaningful connections.
