Rob Purinton
VP Chief AI Officer
AdventHealth
Mr. Purinton is the Vice President and Chief AI Officer of AdventHealth, a $20.1B, 56-hospital health system. He brings to the boardroom a rare combination of frontier AI fluency, enterprise-scale governance, and regulated-industry operating experience — the operating model that turns frontier AI into measurable value without compromising trust, safety, or regulatory standing. He chairs AdventHealth's AI Governance Board and owns enterprise AI strategy, risk, and delivery across the system. Under his leadership, AdventHealth is scaling from measurable pilots to $500M+ in annual AI-driven impact, deployed an internal AI assistant to 15,000+ knowledge workers, and rolled out ambient clinical documentation to 2,400+ physicians — returning 72+ annual FTEs of physician time to patient care. His foundation-model evaluation program covers hallucination, bias, robustness, and privacy across LLMs, multimodal, and agentic systems, informed by direct working relationships with OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, Microsoft, and NVIDIA. Earlier in his 20-year career at AdventHealth, Rob led the work that earned the largest U.S. hospital both the CMS 5-Star Rating and the Leapfrog “A” Grade for Safety, and directed the country's first system-wide conversion from The Joint Commission to DNV-GL NIAHO accreditation. He holds a Doctor of Engineering in AI and Machine Learning from George Washington University.
