Despite the promise of AI in improving clinical outcomes, real-world adoption remains uneven. Introducing and implementing AI practice is a complex challenge requiring what Deming calls the “profound knowledge” of improvement. This session explores how mixed-method research approaches, combining qualitative and quantitative tools, can uncover the nuanced learning systems factors that support or hinder AI implementation in healthcare settings.
